Is it worth getting a city card in Amsterdam?
The card provides value after just a few activities and using the trams or a bike rental to get around. Skipping the line, indeed, is not included for some museums. The two main benefits of this card are to save money compared to individual tickets and to save time by not having to buy each ticket individually.
If you fancy crafting a jam-packed Amsterdam itinerary, this card could save you a lot of money. With many attractions priced over €20 or more, you'll generally get your money's worth if you hit up three attractions per day. However, you could easily do more if you wake up early and plan your time well.
The I amsterdam City Card offers a unique way to explore Amsterdam. You get access to all major highlights and more than 70 museums, city-wide public transport, a canal cruise and bicycle rent.
It's actually an amazing deal right now because it includes most of the more expensive attractions at a surprisingly cheap price. For most visitors who plan on doing the canal cruise, Heineken Experience, and Rijksmuseum, the Amsterdam Pass is almost guaranteed to save you quite a bit of money and time as well.
Unlimited city-wide public transport by GVB metro, tram, bus, and ferry for the duration of your card. One free Amsterdam canal cruise by a participating canal cruise company of your choice. One free canal cruise in Haarlem and a Rederij Volendam Marken ferry ride. 24h free bicycle rental.
The Validity of the I Amsterdam City Card
